What is HIFU treatment?

HIFU is a non-surgical procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the deeper structural layers of the skin. What is the process?

The treatment area is cleansed, and any makeup or skincare products are removed. It relies on ultrasound imaging to visualise the layers of skin and precisely target the treatment area. The device emits focused ultrasound waves at specific depths beneath the skin’s surface. This energy creates controlled thermal damage points in the deep dermal and subdermal layers, where collagen production is stimulated.

Does HIFU treatment work?

Aftercare

You can return to your normal daily activities immediately after your session. Some clients experience mild redness, slight swelling or a temporary tingling sensation in the treated area, all of which typically settle within 24 to 48 hours. We recommend keeping the skin moisturised, avoiding direct sun exposure on the treated area for at least one week and applying a broad-spectrum SPF daily. Our team will provide written aftercare guidance following your session and is available to answer any questions during your recovery.

Is the Procedure Painful?

As the ultrasound energy is delivered, you may feel mild discomfort or a tingling sensation. Sensations can vary from person to person, but the procedure is typically well-tolerated.

How Long Does HIFU Last?

Results continue to develop for up to three months following your session as collagen levels gradually increase. Once full results are visible, most clients find they last between 12 and 18 months.
